New features for the 2021-2022 season

A lot of new things at the mountain.

For the last few years Mont SUTTON has been innovating and this year will be no different. You might have heard about some of these innovations but, to make sure you got it all, here is a list of what’s coming for the 2021-2022 season.

Improved snowmaking systems

While the forecast is generous in the snowfall area for the upcoming winter, improvements to the snowmaking system will ensure better snowmaking power and quality throughout the ski season.

If you want to know everything about the investments, you can read our blog post on this subject: https://montsutton.com/plusieurs-millions-en-investissements-pour-lenneigement/

Bye Bye printed tickets, hello RFID cards

After weeks of infrastructure installation, the new RFID system is ready to open its doors (literally) to the customers. You will only have to go to the main chalet once in the entire season to check in with your vaccination passport. The rest of the season, it’s let’s go to the chairlifts towards the slopes.

This is why the SUTTON 5 Card will be more interesting than ever. If you are not familiar with this product, here is a summary: when you are in possession of the SUTTON 5 Card, it gives you 5 days of skiing throughout the season. No need to reserve your days… Once your vaccination passport is associated to your card, no need to go to the ticket office; you can go directly to the chairlifts. That’s it!

To better remember it: no reservation + reloadable = customer happiness

Going up the mountain

Good news for alpine hikers. The second trail tested last year is officially opening this year in the sector of Chalet Alt.520m! And that’s not all…An improved schedule outside of the mountain’s operating hours will be in effect once the trails are open. More time to enjoy the new trail, the dream of every rider. Stay tuned, for now the touring trails are not yet open and groomers and snowguns on the unopened trails make it unsafe to practice.

You have never tried this sport, but it appeals to you? Among the new features: the rental center will make available to customers a brand new and very important fleet of alpine touring skis. Also new this year: splitboards are now available. Perfect for snowboarders who want to start climbing!

What’s hiding in the store

Since the fall, the Boutique Expérience SUTTON  keeps receiving new arrivals of helmets, goggles, clothing, etc. Brands like The North Face, Orage, Oakley, Atomic, etc. are waiting for you. Equip yourself like a pro for a successful and warm start of the season.

Are you locked in yet?

The old lockers (at the parking level) have gone by the wayside to make way for the brand new seasonal lockers.  With the added bonus of a built-in boot dryer. Construction is well underway to provide you, our guests, with a safe place to store your belongings. Look for the official announcement of the opening soon!
