While waiting for the opening, think safety!
November is a particularly generous month in snow on the mountain! We know you’ve been waiting a long time for winter to return and the resort to open. We’re almost there! You’ve got your skis out, you’ve got your season pass, and you’re dreaming of fun times during your well-deserved days off! We can’t wait to see you again and welcome you for a new season. But please be patient a little longer.
The mountain is not yet open.
We thank you once again for your cooperation in ensuring your safety, that of our employees, and the protection of the equipment currently on the ground in preparation for the opening of Mont SUTTON’s 65th ski season.
There’s plenty of snow, but there are also plenty of gullies, crevasses, and rocks that can catch, even the most skilled skiers and snowboarders, off guard at any moment. Collisions with snow groomers or winch cables can have serious consequences. In addition, potentially dangerous snowmaking and trail maintenance equipment can obstruct the trails. This equipment, which is not always visible to the naked eye, will certainly be found on the trails to ensure access as soon as possible. A severed snow cannon hose, for example, could potentially cause a complete shutdown of snowmaking operations during a critical cold spell and thus significantly delay the opening! Please do not venture onto the trails.
Please note that our employees are currently working hard to create optimal skiing conditions on the slopes so that we can offer you the widest variety of terrain as soon as possible from day one. On top of the danger, which is very real, we also want to leave the terrain to operations so that we can open as soon as possible.
