A community taking action to fight MS
Already a 5th edition in 2025 for the MS Mountain Challenge at Mont SUTTON! Born out of Jean-Sylvain Ouellette’s desire (read the portrait of the instigator here) to raise funds to advance research on multiple sclerosis, following his own diagnosis, $110 000 is expected to be donated to MS Canada for the cause at the end of the event on Saturday, August 16. This longevity shows how much the community cares about this cause, with over $605,000 raised in four editions so far!

Karine Bouchard, honorary president
Last year, we introduced you to Karine Bouchard, a well-known and beloved figure in the region’s skiing community (see the full article here). Completely charmed by her experience last year, following a diagnosis she received in the summer of 2023, she was keen to get more involved this year and is now the honorary president of the 2025 MS Mountain Challenge.
Listen here a french interview given to Steve Roy
from the 107,7 FM Estrie in the morning show Que l’Estrie se lève
talking about the event.
Read also an interview she gave in french to Nicolas T. Parent, from La Voix de l’Est to see the underlying reasons for her involvement and the impact this event had on her. Défier la sclérose en plaques… un kilomètre à la fois
Marc Fournier, a committed spokerperson
And once again this year, actor Marc Fournier will serve as spokesperson and will be there to enjoy the day! We’ll let him have the last word to invite you to this incredible event! (french only)
