The documentary: Premières traces, mémoire du Mont Sutton traces the mountain’s early days by following a group of adventurers who were among the first to explore and ski this still-untamed territory. Through rare archival footage and exclusive interviews with ski pioneers, the documentary reveals that skiing has always been at the heart of Mont SUTTON, long before the Boulanger family, dairy farmers with no prior experience in the ski industry, decided to bring this remarkable venture to life.

 

 

The film also explores the mountain’s rapid transformation during the 1960s, when the Boulanger family ingeniously developed the site into one of the most dynamic ski resorts in the Appalachian Mountains.

 

 

From the legendary Jack Rabbit Johannsen to the bold vision of Réal Boulanger, the documentary takes viewers on a deeply human journey driven by resourcefulness, passion, and a genuine love for the mountain that has proudly preserved its authenticity over the decades.

 

 

The evening’s program begins, with a friendly BBQ at 6 p.m., followed by the documentary creening at 7:30 p.m. in the presence of director, writer, and editor Etienne Benoît.
