SUTTON parent’s zone: weekend programs

HOW TO RESERVE

To save your spot at the Snow School please complete the online registration request. The Snow School processes requests in chronological order of reception. The Snow School will contact you to review your programs selections and proceed with the full payment of the program. At that time, we will inform you of the available spots in your desired options and will require full payment in order to confirm your registration. Due to high demand for certain programs and time slots, no spots can be reserved without full payment for the course.

There are different sign-up periods:

Pre-Registrations at spring. During this time, you will be ensured to get our best rates of the season and you will have the best chance at getting that specific spot you want. This pre-registration period is divided into 3 phases with a priority to our existing customers.

General registration until the end of December. Depending on the program and time slot, some options will no longer be available due to the high demand. Places are filled according to the order in which we receive registration request. Be assured, however, that our team will be happy to offer you all possible options in order to find a program that will suit your family!

If a program or time slot is no longer available at the time of your request, it will be possible to add your name to a waitlist, which only guarantees a place if another one is given up. We encourage you to select another option or time slot to ensure your participation in our weekend programs.

CLASS POSTPONED BY THE SNOW SCHOOL

The Snow School may postpone a lesson in the case of force majeure. The makeup lesson will take place at the end of the program, and the decision to postpone a lesson will be taken at 6:30 a.m. the morning of. To find out if a lesson has been postponed, see the ski conditions page, or call us at 1 866 538-2545, option 1.

LATE STUDENT

Latecomers to lesson will be responsible for finding their group on the mountain by themselves. The negative impact of a latecomer on the rest of the group is too important when the group has to go through the meeting point again because of a late student.

ABSENT STUDENT

If a student misses a lesson, it cannot be made-up at a later date. A lesson cannot be taken by someone else in place of an absent student.

THE FIRST LESSON

EVALUATION METHODS & PROGRESS MONITORING

The Mont SUTTON Snow School allows their students the opportunity to gain more confidence on the slopes and to improve their technique in a fun, positive and safe environment. Through the years, students evolve through different skill levels predetermined by the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance (CSIA) and the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI). We strongly recommend that parents stay informed of their child’s progress, by asking the instructor at the end of each lesson. The instructor will be able to provide an idea of where your child can improve and how they measure up to the program’s objectives.

END-OF-PROGRAM COSTUME CARNAVAL

On the weekend of March 7-8, 2026, the Snow School hosts its traditional and well-loved COSTUME CARNAVAL. We invite all students to show off their most original costumes to celebrate the end of group lessons with their favourite instructor, who will of course also be in costume!

PICTURE

One individual and one group photo will be taken during the 3rd class of the 9 week program. Every 2nd weekend groups will have their photo session on their 2nd class. Students must be present during the predetermined class to have their picture taken. There will be no make-up picture day for students who are absent. In the event of very bas weather, The Snow School may postpone the picture date to the following week.

You will be able to order the pictures on the website of the photograph with the code that your child will receive. You will be able to purchase your photos online ($) and they will be delivered to a Jean Coutu of your choice or directly to your home.

CHILDREN UNDER 13 YEARS OLD

Children under the age of 13 are not authorized to leave unaccompanied at the end of a lesson. At all times, parents must be present at the end of each lesson to pick up their children.

PROBLEMATIC BEHAVIOUR

If a student’s behaviour compromises the safety of the instructor, of another student or anyone else, the Snow School reserves the right to suspend the student for a period time it determines necessary, with no refund. The Snow School reserves this same right in the event that a student’s behaviour is detrimental to the progress of the lesson.
