A PREMIERE THROUGH GLADES IN NORTH AMERICA AT MONT SUTTON!
SUTTON JUNE 14th, 2022 – A new activity is expected this summer at Mont SUTTON! After the giant one-kilometre-long zipline, the most inclined in Canada, inaugurated last summer, it is a first zipline coaster right in the hearth of the glades of the ski hill that will be added to the summer activities offer.
The Mont SUTTON’s zipline coaster will be located at the mountain in the heart of the forest of the station. This is the perfect activity for all those aged 9 years and more who love nature and are looking for thrills. Seated in a harness, visitors will travel under the treetops for an extraordinary experience dotted with curves. As its name suggests, this experience similar to a roller coaster turns through the trees, sometimes spiralling up to 450 degrees, as well as offering climbs and drops! The speed is amplified by the difference in elevation and the accelerations exerted by the centrifugal force. In short, everything is there to live a unique experience high in sensation!
Moreover, Mont SUTTON propose to the curious one a photo album on the construction of the zipline coaster on Mont SUTTON’s Flickr account. With this new unique zipline, Mont SUTTON is positioning itself with a regional clientele and also outside the province and becomes a must-visit destination. It represents a new investment of nearly one million dollars, and this reinforces the 4-season outdoor positioning offer of the mountain. At the end of this construction, the installation of the giant zipline and major improvements to the snowmaking system, Mont SUTTON will have invested a total of 10 M$ since the last six years to offer more activities and a better mountain experience to its visitors.
The Summer Activities of Mont SUTTON
Since the last years, Mont SUTTON has increased its offer of summer activities. Starting with mountain biking and the RV overnight option which are already launched for the summer. Moreover, it is already possible to reserve a camping stay at the summit and the first visitors of the season have stayed on June 3rd. Finally, aside from the new zipline coaster, all the activities will be available as of June 23, such as the new disc golf course, the giant zipline and the chairlift ride. The opening of the zipline coaster has yet to be confirmed but is targeted for July.
