A positive Holiday season and a promising New Year
SUTTON, January 5, 2026 – With Mont SUTTON having already received 233 cm of snow at its base (281 cm at the summit) since the start of the 2025-2026 ski season and nearly 100% of the ski area open, the holiday season was particularly enjoyable, heralding a promising new year with even more activities and events on the agenda.
Holiday 2025 Review
Specifically, between December 20 and January 3, 63 cm of new snow fell at the base of the mountain and 84 cm at the summit, beautifying the mountain. Snow sports enthusiasts happily enjoyed the powder during the holiday season, resulting in magical moments on the slopes.
While the 2024 holidays saw good results, the 2025 holidays were even more prolific, with a 24% increase in traffic, including visits by season pass holders. Day tickets alone saw a 41% increase, thanks to Mother Nature.
This was a wonderful gift for the mountain’s 65th anniversary, which also saw an increase in the use of various services, including a 12% increase in reservations for its All-inclusive packages and a 70% increase of the alpine touring equipment rentals. There was also a noticeable increase in customer attendance at restaurants (including the summit chalet, with its ever-popular fireplace) and at Bar Le Tucker’s après-ski, with its exclusive, homemade, and delicious food offering.
Ski demos, musical après-ski, Christmas stockings rally, ¢75 chicken wings, the Sutton Ski Club torchlights descent, New Year’s cocktail party… these are just some of the activities that delighted young and old alike during the holiday season.
Don’t miss out on anything on this New Year
Just like on Holiday season, a wide range of activities will be held at the mountain for 2026. While après-ski events will continue on Thursdays (Open Mic and discounted chicken wings), Fridays (live bands), and Saturdays (DJs), the popular Tuesdays Tacos & Touring will be back starting January 13, while other ski demos will be held soon, as well as several special events on the slopes, such as Valentine’s Day, Sutton en Cœur in collaboration with the En Cœur Foundation, during spring break (United States, Quebec, and Ontario), Easter, not to mention the famous Snow on the Beach on Saturday, April 4, and the traditional Réal’s Challenge, whose date is always announced at the last minute!
Also, since twice as many young people registered for Christmas camps in 2025, don’t wait to register kids for the various Ski Week camps available so they will have their spot saved! In 2026, the Snow School will of course continue to offer its popular All-inclusive packages and Private lessons booklet (which also saw twice as much interest during the last holiday season), which are essential for learning and getting back into the swing of things!
Finally, while lodging partners have also recently seen an increase in multi-day ski packages, it’s a safe bet to say Ski-and-Stay offers wi-ll need to be booked quickly to enjoy the slopes at the best price, as these getaways include the accommodation and the breakfast on weekdays!
