Many Events for MTB fans this summer

For Plein air Sutton’s 10th mountain biking season at Mont SUTTON, there will be plenty of MTB-focused events this summer!

Currently, the trail network spans over 47 km and includes 42 trails of cross-country, enduro (both natural and groomed), double-track, as well as 5 freeride and jump trails. In addition, 30% of the trails are beginner-level, 50% are intermediate, and 20% are advanced and expert — ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Must-Attend Events you won’t want to miss

This Saturday, June 20, the first must-see event as part of the Summer Season Opening Party will feature THREE bike demos taking place on the mountain starting at 9 a.m., with Norco, Santa Cruz, and Salsa in attendance. In addition, Cycles Campus will be there with a mobile repair shop and test bikes. FOX will also be there to introduce you to its new bike gear and accessories!

Another strength of the network is its community. Starting June 30, the famous Digs Tuesdays will be back: fun evenings spent lending a hand on the trails… not to mention the great atmosphere, meeting new people, and even a free ticket to ride the next day. A new Wednesday ride is also on the way, featuring a special poutine!

A few new additions are also joining the lineup, including a Thursday Girls’ Rides, inviting women riders to get together and enjoy the trails as a group.

The MTB Fridays are back for a third year, starting July 3rd, with chairlift opening hours extended until 8 p.m., discounted chicken wings, and a live DJ — definitely THE nights to add to your calendar!

Then, from July 10 to 12, the pan-Canadian camp Into the Gnar will make a stop in Sutton — its only one in Quebec — featuring renowned riders Yoann Barelli and Nate Spitz. A great nod to the quality of the trails and the area’s unique vibe, with these three days of immersive coaching.

On Saturday, August 29, the MS Mountain Challenge will also be back — an event raising funds to fight multiple sclerosis. As part of this challenge, participants can register, either individually or as a group, and commit to riding 10, 20, or 30 km on a mountain bike for the cause!

In addition, for younger participants, a fall camp will allow 8 to 16 years old to progress at their own pace in a supervised and motivating environment every Saturday from August 29 to October 10.

Another sign that Sutton is on the rise: the network will host the 4th edition of the Quebec Trailbuilders Conference this fall. A strong recognition that highlights the quality of the work accomplished and the growing enthusiasm surrounding the destination.

And so much more…

Also contributing significantly to the network’s growing reputation are the high-quality complementary services offered on the mountain: the Mountain Bike School, the Bike Repair Shop, and the MTB Rental Center. Passionate staff are on hand to guide visitors based on their needs and goals. Introductory programs including equipment rental are available to support new riders, while experienced visitors discovering Mont SUTTON for the first time can book guides in advance to make the most of their ride. And be sure to check out the new arrivals at the Rental Center if you’d rather try before you buy your own mountain bike!

For any last-minute needs or forgotten items, the Boutique Expérience SUTTON has plenty of new arrivals for enthusiasts, including products from Purement SUTTON, Fox, Dakine, and more! Check out a few here… but there’s so much more in store! Psst… MTB subscribers get a 10% discount on regularly priced items at all times.

It’s still time to get your MTB season pass!

If you plan to join us for all our MTB Fridays and don’t want to miss a single beautiful day on the trails, consider getting a season pass (with or without the Enduro add-on for lift rides with your MTB) — it’s still the best way to make the most of it. Families will also find it a great deal, thanks to a flexible and affordable plan! Details here.
