Thank you all for joining us this season!

Mont SUTTON’s 65th ski season came to a close on Sunday, April 12, with snow conditions still exceptional for this time of year and a good total of 564 cm of snow recorded at the summitPresident and General Manager Jean-Michel Ryan had a few words to share:

Dear mountain enthusiasts,

As this exceptional season is now over, I would like to extend, on behalf of myself and the entire Mont SUTTON team, a heartfelt thank you.

You showed up in great numbers and with contagious enthusiasm to enjoy truly remarkable skiing conditions. Once again this year, the abundance of snow allowed us to experience a memorable season, but above all, it was your presence, your energy, and your deep connection to the mountain that gave it its true meaning. Thank you also for your outstanding participation in our events, such as the Retro Day for the 65th season, Snow On the Beach, Réal’s Challenge…

This season was also significant in many ways, as it marks the very last one for the chairlifts in the west sector — I, Iw, and IIw. These lifts, rich in history and cherished memories for so many skiers, will soon be dismantled to make way for a new quad chairlift with a boarding carpet, as well as a second magic carpet in a completely redesigned beginner’s area, starting next season. With an investment of over $8 million, these new features represent a major step forward for the station, allowing us to enhance the guest experience while looking toward the future.

Aware of the strong attachment many of you have to these iconic double chairs, we are also pleased to confirm that around fifty chairs will soon be made available for purchase. A little more patience — full details will be announced shortly, and you will be invited to acquire one in the near future.

On a more personal note, I would like to highlight the journey we have shared since I became President and CEO in 2006. This year marks my 20th year leading the mountain and my 10th year as co-owner, alongside my valued partners, Sylvain Gervais and Pierre Chesnay. Their dedication, vision, and partnership are essential pillars of what we continue to build together, day after day.

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the Boulanger family for their trust and for the unique legacy they have created. The terrain we are privileged to operate today is the result of a strong vision and remarkable work. In this regard, I would especially like to recognize Luc Boulanger, who remains actively involved in operations and continues to share his passion and expertise.

Finally, I would be remiss not to acknowledge the unique and unwavering commitment of Ms. Jocelyne Trudeau, who has overseen the morning conditions report for over 35 years, and whom many of you have met on the slopes with her faithful camera. Jocelyne has been a prominent figure in the history of our mountain, and this past winter marked her last with us providing the morning snow reports. But don’t worry, you’ll still see her out on the slopes, camera in hand. She’s not ready to hang up her skis just yet, and we’re not ready to part ways with her.

Mont SUTTON is much more than a mountain, it is a vibrant community, driven by passionate people, employees, volunteers, partners, and guests, who all contribute to its distinctive character.

Thank you for being part of this adventure.

I look forward to welcoming you back very soon, both in summer and winter.
