SUTTON, March 13, 2024 – Just when many thought ski season was over, Mother Nature came up with a charming turnaround in the last few days, bringing Mont SUTTON a new white carpet of nearly 30 cm of fresh snow to delight snow sports enthusiasts!

It’s safe to say that this week’s precipitation will keep Mont SUTTON open 7 days a week until at least Monday, April 1. And that’s no April fool! The events on the program for the next two weeks are sure to be a lot of fun…

EVENTS FOR ALL AGES

Many festive activities and events are still to come at Mont SUTTON. In addition to Open Mic Thursdays and Live Music Fridays, which continue from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bar Le Tucker for the best après-ski, the snow park will be open this Saturday, March 16, for a day of entertainment starting at 10 a.m.! Friendly competition, prizes and surprises await you.

For those intrigued by the world of ski racing, the same day will be an opportunity to try glalom with the Sutton Ski Club, a special event benefiting the Fondation Boulanger-Bédard, an association raising funds for accessibility to sport, culture and art for young people in the region. Online registration is mandatory at montsutton.com/en/defi-skions-ensemble-march-16. Après-ski continues at Bar Le Tucker with DJ Codinho until 9 p.m., part of our DJ Saturdays throughout March!

On Sunday, March 17, for St. Patrick’s Day, a special après-ski in collaboration with Carlsberg will feature door prizes. For every pitcher sold, $1 will be donated to the Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital Foundation in Cowansville.

EASTER HOLIDAY ON THE SLOPES

Easter Holiday approaching, it’s the perfect time to plan a visit to the mountain, with plenty of activities for the whole family! From Friday, March 29 to Monday, April 1, enjoy the best of spring skiing, while celebrating Easter: on Friday and Monday, drawings will be offered at the Chalet Alt. 400 m, the traditional Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, when 5 Easter eggs must be spotted on the slopes for a chance to win a prize, and on Sunday, March 31, free maple taffy will be offered to all, in a nod to the sugaring season!

Weather permitting, it may also be the perfect opportunity to host the Défi Réal, the most eagerly awaited annual challenge for Mont SUTTON enthusiasts, where a relay race begins on chairlift II to ensure that the chairlift, which usually closes at 4 p.m., stays open as long as possible. If the challenge of having a minimum of 2 people in every two chairs is met, the chairlift will remain open until the last light of day!

And don’t forget to try out the yooner, an alternative snow sport suitable for all children aged 8 and over, to vary the pleasures and indulge in a new experience that’s more than affordable!
