Breaking news

53 trails and glades are now open after patrol inspection.

Beautiful sunshine makes for incredible conditions. Don’t miss it!

The mountain is still open for our winter sports enthusiasts, and the day is shaping up to be quite sunny.  Make the most of it!

Today’s planned lift operations:

Lifts  I, II and IIo starting at 8;30 a.m  this morning, with a potential gradual opening of Lifts IV and VII in the morning while the patrol team conducts another inspection.    A total of 37 trails and glades may be opened following inspection.    Stay tune

Snow coverage is still excellent in the mountains. Additionally, a total of 20 cm of snow has fallen at the base and 30 cm over the past 7 days. That said, the warm spell from Thursday to Friday, combined with the return of cold weather, requires additional grooming and inspection.

Grooming has therefore been done on several trails and may continue this morning, which will provide excellent conditions, and your turns will be on granular snow or firmed-up granular snow.

On trails and glades with natural snow or ungroomed snow, the surfaces will be firm to hard due to the return of colder weather. There will be   bumps to navigate around, and thin spots or patches of bare spots may appear here and there.   Keep an eye out

All on firm to hard bases   with a few patches of ice   possible on your way

A report for this coming Saturday will be available tomorrow morning around 6:30 a.m., with a possible gradual opening of sections IV and VII in the morning, giving us time to inspect everything again. The mountain still has a great snow coverage with a total of 27 cm of snow received at the base of the mountain and 38 cm in the last 7 days. That said Thursday to Friday meltdown combined with the return of the cold weather requires more grooming.

Chalet Altitude 400 m (the main chalet) is open and serving meals, while Chalet Altitude 840 m is open for meals on weekends (including the Easter Holiday) and operates as a mountain hut on weekdays.

The alpine touring trails are all open.  Changes are possible.  Stay tune.  See the trail map, schedules and link to purchase passes and tickets at montsutton.com/alpinetouring
