SUTTON, March 20, 2019 – While there might be less snow in the city by March, the snow cover in the mountain is often still surprisingly complete. This is the case right now at Mont SUTTON; the conditions are still very snowy and a few storms are still on the forecast! Last year, the ski season lasted until April 28. Note to all skiers and snowboarders : with the arrival of spring, Mont SUTTON has a ton of events and activities planned over the next few weeks to mark the arrival of warmer weather.

A Sweet Start to the Season
The start of spring also marks the start of sugaring season. At Mont SUTTON, at the bottom of chairlift II, kids and adults will be delighted by the maple taffy, cones and candy carefully made by Boivin Hastings Maple Products. And, the traditional sugar shack lunch at Chalet Alt. 680 m will be served on March 30 and 31. On the menu: pea soup, maple glazed ham, baked beans, sausage, hashbrowns, pancakes, crispy pork rinds, homemade coleslaw, marinade, bread and butter accompanied by a miniature sugar pie or pouding chômeur for $15.95 + tax. A special “Sugar Shack” day will top it all off on March 30, when skiers who wear a traditional red and black checkered shirt will be offered a $20 discount off the price of their day ticket.

Spring Promotions in Full Bloom
At Boutique Expérience SUTTON, the Spring Sale is already in full swing, allowing skiers and snowboarders to gear up for extremely affordable prices. Those who don’t already know about the Spring Pass have everything to gain from discovering it! Starting March 20, the Spring Pass is available for $99 + tax to ski every day until the end of the season. What’s more, it can be credited towards the purchase of a 7-day pass for the 2019-2020 season! Speaking of which, the 2019-2020 season’s passes will be available for presale starting on March 20 with a 10% discount.

Celebrating in the Sun
Mont SUTTON’s quintessential spring event, the Snow on the Beach, will be on Saturday, April 6. Everyone wanting to cross the pond on skis or a snowboard is invited to don his or her silliest costume. And for those who are more of the “spectator” type, a festive atmosphere will take over the bottom of the mountain, with a beach party après-ski to end the day. The sunny days of spring offer the perfect conditions to take full advantage of the patio at Bar Le Tucker and the BBQ at the bottom of the hill after a few runs. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen!
