SUTTON December 7, 2022 – As Mont SUTTON is getting ready to start its season, some news to notice are unveiled.

An enhanced experience

Since its purchase in 2016, more than ten million has been injected to make the mountain a must-visit four-season destination. And this is just the beginning! These investments are part of a multi-year development plan proposed by the firm Ecosign, which specializes in the growth of ski resorts around the world. The objectives of this deployment plan promise to generate changes, allowing a high quality offer all year round.

Recent changes included an increase of the snowmaking capacity, the acquisition of new grooming machines, the development of mountain bike trails and the inauguration of a zipline coaster – a first in Canada.

For the 2022-2023 ski season, every effort has been made to modernize the snowmaking system and optimize trails maintenance. The goal remains simple: pleasant skiing conditions given by a greatest snow production resulting in a longer ski season and a complete customer satisfaction!

Beyond the snow…

Three major upgrades have been made for the 2022-2023 season, always in the best respect of the nature and the responsible use of its territory. Primarily, the pipe system was enlarged under the Youppe-Youppe trail, which permitted the addition of four snow guns and their whole repositioning on this line, producing a better snowmaking in the sector in less time.

In addition, a new compressor was installed which ensures a more efficient air distribution on the entire mountain. This addition granted the removal of outdated equipment that consumed more energy.

The water pumping system on the network has also been improved. At the end of the project, scheduled for the 2023-2024 season, the supply capacity will be doubled to 3,000 gallons per minute, setting a more efficient and responsible use of the resource, as cold periods would be maximized to make more snow.

Always more fun with friends and family

For the 2022-2023 season, some other news will delight enthusiasts. Firstly, those who wish to spend more time at the mountain will discover lodging packages with new partners in the area. Moreover, access to van or RV overnight stays are offered at the same rate as last summer, only $20 per night.

To access a larger domain and benefit to the fullest the rich Mont SUTTON nature, the inauguration of a third alpine touring trail will make many people happy. An excellent way to vary your ascent before going down the marked trails.

Especially for the little ones, the discovery of new characters in the Forêt des merveilles promises a lot of fun. This trail in the family zone is designed for a playful learning in the glades thanks to the presence of enchanting elements.
