Mont SUTTON is sliding into a new era

Sutton, November 4, 2026 – A breath of fresh air is sweeping through Mont SUTTON as the mountain enters a new era ahead of the 2026–2027 winter season. The inauguration of an all-new quad chairlift, a major redevelopment of the learning area, a new brand identity, enhanced services at the Boutique and food outlets, new programs at the Ski School, and sustainable transportation options: the changes are numerous and reflect a genuine commitment to continually enhancing the mountain experience.

A Game-Changing New Chairlift, Especially for Families and Groups!

Without a doubt, this season’s headline addition is an all-new SkyTrac quad chairlift in Mont SUTTON’s beginner-to-intermediate area, the first of its kind in Canada and representing an investment of over $8 million on its own. This major project, made possible in part through $5 million in financial support from the Ministry of Tourism under the Tourism Industry Recovery Assistance Program (PARIT), marks an important milestone in the mountain’s ongoing development.

Beyond the new lift and its loading conveyor, the entire experience for families and skiers learning to ski will be transformed. The learning area has been redesigned to provide a more welcoming, accessible and progressive environment. A second magic carpet has been added alongside the existing one, providing a combined uphill ride of 90 metres. This new layout significantly expands the terrain available to beginners, allowing them to enjoy more runs, develop their skills and gradually build confidence before venturing onto more challenging trails. Certain sections of the slope have also been regraded to make them gentler, helping beginner and intermediate skiers progress more comfortably, while improvements to the snowmaking system will further enhance conditions throughout the area.

As part of these upgrades, 2 fan guns and 15 snowmaking towers have been added to the area. They will be tested throughout the winter to optimize snow coverage in the western sector. Elsewhere on the mountain, two additional fan guns and approximately ten more snowmaking towers will join the existing fleet. Combined with additional maintenance equipment, ongoing work on the main high-speed quad chairlift to maximize its reliability and performance, and other major improvements designed to enhance the guest experience, total investments for the upcoming season are approaching $12 million!

Furthermore, this major transformation adds even more value to the Petite Passe, making it an especially attractive seasonal pass option for unlimited access to the newly redesigned beginner and intermediate area. At a very accessible price, it is an excellent way to discover skiing, progress at one’s own pace or simply make the most of this revamped sector. A particularly appealing option for families and skiers looking to enjoy more days on the slopes without breaking the bank!

A New Look for a New Chapter in History

Following its 65th anniversary celebrations, Mont SUTTON is taking this opportunity to completely refresh its brand image. This repositioning initiative includes a new visual identity, a new logo and an entirely redesigned website, all created to better reflect the mountain’s distinctive personality, its four-season offerings, its evolution and its vision for the future.

To bring this transformation to life, Mont SUTTON has partnered with Oasis agency, marking the beginning of a new creative collaboration. This rebranding is just the start of a rollout that will continue over the coming months across various platforms, communications and even the on-site visitor experience. A refreshed look that remains true to the SUTTON spirit, opening the door to countless possibilities and plenty of fun!

The Snow School Expands Its Offerings for All Skill Levels

The Snow School is also getting in on the action with three new programs designed to diversify learning opportunities and help skiers of all ages and abilities progress.

The Holiday SUTTON Style Bootcamps will help young and adult skiers alike get back into the swing of things at the beginning of the season. These intensive private lesson packages offer either four or six hours of instruction spread over two days during the same weekend. A concentrated yet friendly approach to rebuilding confidence, refining technique and getting the winter season off to a great start.

Adults can also discover Your Monday SUTTON Style, a six-week program offering a different way to kick off the week. Participants enjoy exclusive access to the slopes starting at 8:45 a.m., before the chairlifts officially open, giving them the pleasure of making the first tracks. As an added bonus, coffee and pastries will be provided, making it the perfect opportunity to enjoy the morning in good company.

Finally, young skiers aged 9 to 15 can join the new Masters SUTTON Style program, an all-inclusive offering featuring 32 days on the slopes spread across the Christmas camps, March Break camp and weekends. It’s a fantastic way to maximize time on the mountain, develop skiing skills and fully embrace their passion throughout the season.

For those looking to make their very first turns, new all-inclusive packages also offer a great introduction to snow sports. Available for ages 3 to 99, these packages combine a private lesson, equipment rental and lift access, with different options tailored to individual skill levels and goals. Whether it’s a first-ever experience or an opportunity to become more comfortable on the mountain, everything is in place to get started!

A Fresh New Look for the Boutique and Workshop

At the Boutique Expérience SUTTON, snow sports enthusiasts will also have plenty to look forward to. The selection is expanding with the arrival of the latest Orage products, along with the newest ski models from Völkl and Atomic. New tuques and a wide range of SUTTON-branded merchandise will also be making their debut, giving visitors even more ways to show their mountain pride!

Another exciting addition to the guest experience is the arrival of a recognized bootfitting specialist. Through this personalized service, skiers will benefit from expert advice and professional boot adjustments to achieve the best possible fit, improve precision and get even more enjoyment out of every run. A valuable expertise that addresses a very real need among passionate skiers!

The Workshop will also be getting a makeover to optimize its facilities. The goal is to make services even more efficient and streamlined, particularly when it comes to equipment maintenance, adjustments and preparation. Because a great day on the slopes also starts with properly prepared equipment!

Fresh Flavours and Even Livelier Après-Ski Experiences

The mountain also has several updates to share when it comes to dining, from lunchtime to après-ski. Committed to continually improving its practices, the food services team is pursuing its efforts in responsible sourcing and sustainable development, with the introduction of reusable tableware and a new sorting centre. The menu will also feature a greater selection of healthy and vegetarian options to cater to a wide range of tastes.

At Bar Le Tucker, après-ski enthusiasts can enjoy a food menu available seven days a week, along with an expanded selection of wines and local products. And because atmosphere is an integral part of the SUTTON experience, a new stage area has been created to take the fun up a notch. It’s the perfect setting to extend ski days with a festive atmosphere worthy of the Tucker’s reputation!

A Mountain That Also Welcomes New Talent

With all these changes and a particularly exciting season ahead, Mont SUTTON is also evolving its workplace organization. Several positions have been restructured and more clearly defined to accommodate a wider variety of profiles and give more people the opportunity to find their place within the team.

Whether looking for permanent or seasonal employment, full-time or part-time, there are plenty of opportunities across various mountain departments. It’s a great opportunity to join a dynamic team, work in a unique environment and contribute directly to the visitor experience. Interested candidates are invited to explore the employment opportunities available at Mont SUTTON.

Even More Reasons to Enjoy Winter!

The new additions don’t stop there! Freestyle enthusiasts will be pleased to discover new features and modules in the snow park. And because Mont SUTTON always enjoys surprising its visitors, plenty of other discoveries are in store throughout the season.

In addition, a new sustainable transportation service has recently been introduced in the Brome-Missisquoi region. The launch of MOUV public transit, which serves Mont SUTTON from Monday to Saturday between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., not only expands the potential workforce but also makes the mountain more accessible than ever!

With these major improvements and enhanced experiences, the 2026–2027 season promises to bring a true breath of fresh air to Mont SUTTON. A new era begins with excitement, while preserving everything that makes the mountain so unique: its warm welcome, its strong sense of community and its love of the great outdoors!
