MONT SUTTON, COMMITTED TO THE PROMOTION OF MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH
SUTTON, January 18, 2023 – As a new year begins, Mont SUTTON takes the resolution to get involved in two causes that are close to its heart by announcing partnerships promoting health, both of the body and the mind.
Mont SUTTON wishes to be part of the solution by being associated to the 13th edition of Bell Let’s Talk, insisting on the importance of breaking the taboos surrounding the growing psychological distress in Canada by promoting the accessibility to adequate resources. On Saturday, January 21, Bell will be at the foot of the slopes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to present the 2023 campaign Let’s Change This, distribute hot chocolate and collect testimonials from visitors. These testimonies will be put forward on the Mont SUTTON networks on January 25, the national day of the event, to raise awareness on the issues evoked. Details available at www.montsutton.com/en/letstalk.
Since February is the month of the heart, a collaboration with the Fondation En Cœur, working to support children with heart disease and their families, will give birth to the 1st edition of Sutton en Cœur, on Saturday, February 18. Skiers, snowboarders and alpine hikers are invited to 6 hours of physical activity. Although participants are not required to be on the slopes for 6 hours, the day, set from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., symbolizes the average duration of an open-heart surgery… A panoply of surprises await participants and an exclusive après-ski will take place at the Petit Tucker from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to happily close the day. Registration, alone or with a team, at www.bit.ly/suttonencoeur before Wednesday, February 15 at 8 p.m. More details at www.montsutton.com/en/heart.
As for Jean-Michel Ryan, Mont SUTTON president and general manager, the outdoors and physical activity are excellent ways to soothe ailments and encourage good cardiovascular health, so these associations came naturally. He adds: “These two new collaborations, which we hope will be long-lasting, are a concrete expression of our desire to get involved and raise awareness about two major issues. We are pleased to support two important players, Bell and the Fondation En Cœur, promoting the improvement of the well-being of individuals and families who are affected. These days are also an opportunity to encourage our skiers to take care of themselves on our beautiful mountain.“.
Among the 60 slopes of Mont SUTTON, many are suitable for beginners looking for new winter activities to enjoy the invigorating air and escape from the daily grind. The bucolic landscapes allow you to be one with nature and to fully enjoy the moment. Many packages and low-cost promotions are available to discover new activities.
