EXPERIENCE THE MAGICAL SCENERY OF MONT SUTTON

By  - Category: Press Release - Published on

SUTTON, January 4, 2024 – Mont SUTTON is delighted with the snow that has recently fallen at the mountain, offering a masterful scenery. Slopes are white and totally enchanting for the beginning of this new year, with some 15 cm of snow received this week, including 8 cm of fresh snow in the last 24 hours! There really is a microclimate at the mountain.

Exceptional conditions

Three chairlifts and the magic carpet are in operation, some modules in the snow park await young and old acrobats alike and the main runs are open, beautiful, and fun to explore.

With the return of colder weather, perfect for snowmaking, the new snow received and the one still to come according to the forecasts, it bodes well for what’s to come!

As a picture is worth a thousand words, customers can also check out the photos of the day posted regularly on Mont SUTTON’S Flickr account.

A positive holiday season

A wonderful holiday season is about to come to an end and the annual activities attracted many enthusiasts. Not only were the après-ski activities from Thursday to Saturday very busy, but the Christmas rally on the slopes on December 25 enchanted many young families, as children were invited to find the hidden Christmas stockings. The Boutique Expérience SUTTON’s sale also delighted many skiers and snowboarders, as did the New Year’s Day Cocktail with the presence this year of Domaine Bresee Winery on January 1st.

The Sutton en Coeur organizing committee, whose 2nd edition will take place on Saturday, February 17, was also at the foot of the slopes on December 28 to raise awareness for the En Coeur Foundation’s cause. This special event came the day after the traditional and breathtaking torchlight descent of the Sutton Ski Club, on the evening of December 27. A busy and successful holiday season at the mountain!

More events to come

To end the holiday season in style, there’s more to come at the mountain this weekend. Don’t miss the band MecTrio from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. as part of the Musical Fridays on January 5, a free Head ski demo all day on Saturday, January 6 at the Boutique Expérience SUTTON, and a DJ at the Bar Le Tucker après-ski!

Also, fans are always invited to appreciate the sculptures on the mountain, as Mont SUTTON offers a veritable open-air museum with artworks bordering its slopes.

Finally, Mont SUTTON reminds everyone that the best way to be on the lookout is to subscribe to the newsletter. Sent out every morning, or once a week if you prefer, this report will indicate the number of trails open, the number of chairlifts in operation, and the cm of fresh snow. It will also contain a team report to keep you informed of the actual conditions of the trails, and to help everyone getting prepared for the type of skiing offered that same day! Subscriptions to this newsletter can be made at  montsutton.com/newsletter.
