SUTTON, April 17, 2024 – While the ski season has just ended, Mont SUTTON is preparing for a new summer season! As of Saturday, May 18, mountain bikers are expected at the mountain 7 days a week to start a new season! So it’s time to adjust your bike and get your season pass, to make the most of your summer on the trails!

Always in collaboration with Plein air Sutton / MTB, which is responsible for the maintenance and ongoing development of the now nearly 50 km network, several events will be back for the great pleasure of enthusiasts and some great new features are also on the program!

Revamped season passes!

Until April 30, a 10% discount is available on all unlimited mountain bike season passes (juniors 7 to 17, adults and families) and Enduro add-ons. Online purchases are available now at montsutton.com/mtb.

In response to members request, the Enduro add-on, allowing a limited number of ascents with chairlift II, has been revised to satisfy as many members as possible. Two memberships are now possible, with the Enduro add-on now including 2 or 4 ascents per day. This choice offers subscribers greater flexibility, while respecting the destination’s focus on enduro and cross-country mountain biking. The chairlift will open on Saturday, June 22.

Remember that Mont SUTTON and Plein air Sutton / MTB mountain bike network offers trails for beginners to experts, with a variety of routes, two jumplines and four uphill trails.

Ongoing developments and improvements

In the summer of 2023, 3 new downhill trails and one uphill trail were inaugurated. These were highly acclaimed additions to the network, and promise to be still very exciting this season! For the 2024 season, a new layout project is planned for this spring: a rustic and technical hybrid descent with some flow elements, which will bring the number of trails on offer to 43.

Among the changes announced for the summer, the Sans Gluten route will be revised, the Zen will be redesigned to bring it up to date and the Kouiki will get a new double drop. Plein air Sutton / MTB also has a number of other events in store for visitors for the upcoming season!

All trails and routes are available on the trailforks website at trailforks.com/region/plein-air-sutton-19149.

Many events for even more fun!

To know everything about the season’s events and be able to sign up for them, it’s essential to follow the Plein air Sutton / MTB Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pleinairsuttonmtb) and subscribe to the Mont SUTTON newsletter (https://montsutton.com/newsletter)!

The first date to remember is Saturday, May 11, for the traditional spring clean up day to prepare the terrain! This event conceived to get you in the mood for the start of the season once again promises many surprises for participants, who will be delighted to return to their favorite trails, just one week before they can get on their bikes!

An official season launch will then be held at Mont SUTTON on Saturday, June 15. By then, the entire network will have been open for some time for everyone to enjoy!

Under the direction of Plein air Sutton / MTB, the Mardis Digs volunteer work evenings will be back every Tuesday from June 25, between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. A great opportunity to help maintain and develop the network.

Major mountain bike events in collaboration with various associations will also be back on the Mont SUTTON network, including two events for which the public can already register.

First, on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14, the Marin Wildside Enduro series will hold its 3rd event of the season at Mont SUTTON, always in search of the best enduro terrains. Remember that this race series offers prize money of up to $2,500. Full details at montsutton.com/en/activity/marin-wildside-enduro.

Then, on Saturday, August 17, the now classic MS Bike Challenge, with proceeds going to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, returns to Mont SUTTON. Each participant is asked to raise $300. Information available at montsutton.com/en/activity/the-ms-mountain-bike-challenge.

At any time, mtb lovers who want to extend their stay are invited to book their RV overnight stay at Mont SUTTON to discover more of what the mountain has to offer in terms of entertainment for the whole family: disc golf, chairlift rides, hikes to discover the mountain sculptures, giant zipline or zipline coaster will also be on the agenda starting June 22!
