INVESTMENTS & IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE UPCOMING SKI SEASON
SUTTON, November 20, 2025 – With more than 60 cm of snow already fallen at the summit of Mont SUTTON this November and snowguns now operating whenever weather allows it, many are eagerly awaiting the start of the mountain’s 65th ski season. Ahead of the targeted opening on Friday, December 5, there is still new features announce for the season, representing $725K in investments!
New features on the mountain
With the TechnoAlpin fixed fan on a tower in demonstration, to increase snowmaking power, no less than $725K has been invested in operations to boost productivity! This amount includes a new Bison X Winch Stage V groomer, which will soon make its first runs, as well as a new Prinoth Husky tiller for the Sno-Cat 2000 and the addition of rolling equipment. Guests will also be pleased to see that all the Chairlift II cushions have been replaced!
Other new features for the winter season include two mountain sculptures, a revamped ski lesson program for adults, more events on the outdoor terrace of Bar Le Tucker, new clothing options at the Boutique Expérience SUTTON, a geocaching course, and, at the main Chalet Alt. 400m restaurant, the delicious creative salads in Mason Jar first introduced this summer at Cube-IK.
And while the season will end with the start of the works for the construction of the new quad chairlift in the west zone of the mountain, many will already notice a change in its landscape this winter, as the team on the field has completed the required tree clearing at the summit where the new quad chairlift will be located. This preparatory work was necessary to ensure installation in time for the 2026–2027 season.
This new chairlift, representing an investment of more than $8M, the largest in the mountain’s history, is made possible thanks to a $5M grant from PARIT (meaning Tourism Industry Recovery Assistance Program), being a part of a broader development phase that will also include RFID gates at chairlifts and new four-season glamping sites near Chairlift V. These upcoming investments are estimated at $11M.
