IT’S A START FOR MOUNTAIN BIKING AND DISC GOLF AT MONT SUTTON

By  - Category: Press Release - Published on

SUTTON, May 18, 2023 – After weeks of site preparation, it’s finally this Saturday, May 20 that Mont SUTTON’s summer season starts, with the opening of the mountain biking trails and disc golf course. The date will also mark the 7 days a week opening of the Boutique Expérience SUTTON, the rental center and the bike repair shop to answer all customers’ needs.

NEARLY 75% OF THE TRAILS OPEN FOR THIS FIRST WEEKEND

Since a progressive opening is on the program, with access to all the trails located at the bottom of the mountain for this first weekend, the public will be able to enjoy many of the enduro, cross-country, beginners or experts, double tracks or single track trails as soon as 8:30 a.m. on Saturday May 20 at Mont SUTTON! Nice addition this season, it will be possible for any pass holder to buy the Enduro add-on, allowing one chairlift ride per day. The chairlift will be in operation starting on June 23rd.

As of June 1st, the mountain bike school will offer an initiation package recommended for anyone who never tried that sport before, as well as private lessons for beginners who would like to perfect their mountain biking techniques. For those who would like to experience a pleasant excursion without having to worry about the routes to take, a guide service allows the exploration of beginners and intermediates trails in a three-hour outing, leaving the mountain biker free to enjoy nature to its fullest. Reservations can be made today.

To get the prices and the trails opening status, the page montsutton.com/mtb allows online purchase of season passes, daily tickets, and propose an interactive map.

DISC GOLF IS BACK FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

For an original outdoor activity to spend quality time with your family or simply to try something new, Mont SUTTON offers an 18-basket course of disc golf in wooded area, starting May 20. Hybrid between golf and ultimate frisbee, disc golf is a new sport accessible to all ages, all levels, affordable and fun! The holes are switched for baskets in which discs must land in as few throws as possible.

The online reservation is recommended since departures are every 15 minutes and until 3:00 p.m. It’s possible to rent a set of two discs on site at the Boutique Expérience SUTTON, at the arrival where the course will be explained and a score card given! To benefit from an unlimited 7 days a week access without reservation, as well as an exclusive access after 4 p.m. to the playground, it’s possible to buy a season pass for only $50! More information and purchase at montsutton.com/disc-golf.

TO EXTEND THE FUN ALL NIGHT LONG

After an exhilarating day of mountain biking, or to be the first one on the trails in the morning, the overnight stay in a van or RV is available at any time for any self-sufficient user! A $20 fee, to be paid online or at the Boutique Expérience SUTTON, is required to allow Mont SUTTON to maintain a good cohabitation and the sustainability of this permission, while having the certainty that the users are aware of the rules observed. All the details and the authorized locations can be found at montsutton.com/rv.

That said, for all lovers of campfires and roasted marshmallows, the rustic camping will be open from June 2nd at Mont SUTTON. The campsites, open 7 days a week until October 15, are located at the summit (altitude 840 meters) and are only accessible by foot, at about 1.5 hour of uphill walking distance from the main chalet, assuring a breathtaking panorama in an absolute quietness.

This is a unique experience for any outdoor enthusiast, since the tent and the required equipment must be brought along. However, it’s possible to reduce the walking time by half by first taking a chairlift ride (available from June 23rd). To allow the camper to fully live the moment without hassle, a food at the summit option can be added to the reservation at least 48 hours prior. A gourmet menu delivered to the summit, to be cooked on the communal fire pits! As the number of campground sites is very limited, availability is rapidly decreasing and those interested are invited to reserve now on montsutton.com/en/camping.
