Ultra Obscura

A unique trail running experience at Mont SUTTON

On June 13 2026

Get ready to experience far more than just a race. Ultra Obscura, organized by Sinister Sports, is a one-of-a-kind trail running event set in the heart of the technical trails of the Parc d’Environnement Naturel de Sutton, Mont SUTTON, and Plein Air Sutton.

Here, it’s not just about distance, it’s about strategy. Each participant moves at their own pace on a fully trail-based loop course, with no asphalt sections, where every decision along the way can change everything.

A unique and evolving format

Ultra Obscura features a distinctive concept: a course divided into multiple loops of increasing difficulty. After each section, runners can choose to continue or stop, redefining their challenge in real time.

With distances ranging from 10 km to 84 km (solo or relay), the event is designed for both runners taking on their first challenge and seasoned athletes ready to push their limits.

A demanding, pure trail experience

The trails of the Sutton Mountains Massif offer a spectacular and technical playground: sustained climbs, fast descents, and winding sections through dense forests and breathtaking mountain landscapes.

With significant elevation gain on longer distances and iconic segments passing by several lakes and summits, each loop represents a true physical and mental challenge.

A race where it’s all in your head

More than a traditional ultratrail, Ultra Obscura emphasizes effort management, strategy, and mental resilience. Every decision, every transition, and every climb becomes an opportunity to push yourself further.

Ultra Obscura is:

  • A one-of-a-kind strategic challenge
  • 100% natural, technical trails
  • An immersive experience in the heart of the Sutton Mountains
  • A challenge that is as mental as it is physical
