A MEMORABLE HOLIDAY SEASON: A START TO THE YEAR THAT SETS THE TONE!

SUTTON, January 6, 2025 – Mont SUTTON is off to a remarkable start with a holiday season that surpassed all expectations! The figures speak for themselves, with more than double the visits compared to last year, confirming the best visitor figures in the last three years. Exceptional visitor numbers, both on the slopes and at the après-ski!  Not to mention the great snowfalls received before Christmas and again at the end of the vacation season.

Snow on the menu

The magic of the mountain is at work for this time of the year! The pre-Christmas snowmaking and the snow received just before Christmas had set the table for a fine holiday season… and despite the Christmas thaw, with the return of the cold, snowmaking was once again optimized. In the end, the last 5 days of snowstorms left 40 cm of snow at the base and more than half a meter at the top, for a total of 133 cm at the base and 2 meters at the top since the start of the season. In short, conditions are now simply exceptional. The photos on Mont SUTTON’s Flickr album and the many customers’stories on the Mont SUTTON’s Instagram account testify to the striking contrast with the city, highlighting breathtaking scenery!

Après-ski more popular than ever

The après-ski bar also posted its best performance in three years. Part of the success attributed to the après-ski menu being revamped, and the Open Mic Thursdays and Live Music Fridays being now complemented by recurring DJ Saturdays as well, creating a festive atmosphere all week long. It goes without saying that Bar Le Tucker confirms its place as an essential mountain gathering place.

Alpine Touring enthusiasts at the rendez-vous

Alpine Touring clients, always on the lookout for the mountain’s distinctive microclimate, were obviously delighted by the recent snowfalls and present on site. The opening of all the touring trails in the last week definitely contributed to their enthusiasm.

Ski demos: a continuing success

The popularity of the ski demos continues, with many customers taking part in the holiday demo. This winning formula allows skiers to discover their true style by testing different equipment in the field – because nothing beats first-hand experience to understand how skis react to different conditions. Of course, more demo days are planned throughout the season.

An invitation to enjoy winter

“We’re in the heart of the most beautiful time of the season,” says Mont SUTTON management. “It’s BEAUTIFUL and it’s time to take advantage of it! The light is exceptional on the mountain, the snow is abundant, and the open trails provide access to a wide variety of terrain. Even more, the activity calendar is packed with events not to be missed: special après-ski, demos, contests and much more! And, as per previsions, there’s even more snow in store this week!
