Lysanne Sabourin’s Art Tables
From September 21 2025 to October 19 2025
As part of the many activities offered during the Fall Festival at Mont SUTTON, a series of art workshops will be led by Lysanne Sabourin, multidisciplinary artist and co-founder of La Ferme-Galerie in Dunham. She invites you to dive into a magical world through a variety of art workshops specially designed for children. These workshops will take place every Sunday, from September 21 to October 19. Come unleash your imagination and connect with nature through unique activities such as character drawing from the “Forest of Wonders,” colorful collage-making, a collaborative mural, the creation of natural artworks with an eco-educator, and even jewelry-making in collaboration with the Sutton Youth Center “Le Spot.” These creative gatherings are a great opportunity to bring together young and old during the Fall Festival, explore your artistic side, and create as a family in a warm and festive atmosphere.
Meet us at Lysanne Sabourin’s kiosk!
Program
Sunday, September 21 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Draw Your Forest of Wonders Character
Using outlined drawings of the characters featured in the Forest of Wonders trail, children will be invited to decorate and personalize them using colored pencils, markers, and other creative materials.
Sunday, September 28 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Collage & Crafts
With scissors and paper cutters in hand, kids will explore a selection of magazines to find images, patterns, or words that inspire them. Once they’ve cut out their favorites, they’ll glue them onto pre-cut shapes (animals, silhouettes, objects, etc.) to create a unique, colorful, and expressive piece of art.
Sunday, October 5 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Mountain Is Ours
Using paint and pencils, children will collaborate to create a collective mural inspired by the magical world of the mountain. Two characters will then be cut directly from the mural and installed along the mountain trail to become part of the scenery.
Sunday, October 12 – Guided hikes leave at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. from Lysanne Sabourin’s kiosk.
Nature at Work – with Jacob Brideau
Joined by Jacob Brideau—farmer, eco-educator at the P.E.N.S., and father of four forest-loving children—kids will head out on a short guided hike through the forest. They’ll learn to observe nature from a fresh perspective while gathering natural elements like leaves, branches, bark, or stones to later use in a nature-inspired artwork they can take home.
Sunday, October 19 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Jewelry-Making – in collaboration with the Youth Center “Le Spot”
Come make your own bracelets and necklaces at the Art Table, hosted by the vibrant youth of Sutton’s Youth Center “Le Spot.” A wonderful chance to meet them, chat, and support their amazing community mission.
** Please note: wearing an apron or an old t-shirt is highly recommended.
