Exceptional winter – Over 6 m of snow received this season!
SUTTON, April 21, 2025 – This past Sunday, April 20, marked the end of Mont SUTTON’s 64th ski season, with the 2024-2025 winter bringing over 6 meters of snow to the summit between November and April! A dream season, full of surprises right up to the very end!
A snow galore
The season, which lasted 120 days, saw 460 cm of snow at the base and no less than 622 cm at the summit since October 14. This Purely SUTTON microclimate will have made many happy and enabled the mountain to open on December 7, and stay in action until Easter.
Mother Nature pampered Mont SUTTON with exceptional conditions all winter long, with 100% of the skiable terrain accessible from early January. What’s more, the first month of the year was a magical one, with 25 days of snowfall, attracting large numbers of visitors from everywhere.
An increasing attendance
On top of many powder days, over $6M invested in the snowmaking system in recent years, the addition of groomers and the modernization of numerous pieces of equipment, the mountain was set for a wonderful season.
The 2024-2025 season saw visits almost doubled from last year. These results reflected in all departments, with considerable increases in consumption at the restaurant, including strong interest in its vegetarian and vegan offerings, as well as its delicious breakfasts, while the workshop doubled its sales and the Boutique Expérience SUTTON experienced a 25% increase of its sales.
As the public rediscovered the pleasure of being outdoors, demand was impressive for the low-cost, all-inclusive initiation packages and for Snowscoot or Yooner rentals. The snow school and the rental center also performed well.
Bar Le Tucker has also grown in popularity, with the new recurring DJ Saturdays après-ski being added to the classic Open Mic Thursdays and its 70¢ chicken wings (over 25,000 units were sold during the season!), or its Live Music Fridays with bands every week. The new Tuesdays Tacos & Touring activity, offered on four occasions after the chairlift closed, has also quickly found a place in people’s hearts and is sure to become a local staple in seasons to come.
In addition to these Tuesday ascents at 5:30 p.m., alpine touring also benefited from a new guiding service to introduce customers to Mont SUTTON’s trails. The activity was so well received that the product will be revised to cater a wider clientele.
Already a significant impact for next season
This dream season is already snowballing, with presales of 5-Day and 7-Day unlimited passes for the 2025-2026 ski season already increased by 21% compared to the same period last year. We’ll have to wait until the end of pre-sales on September 30 to see the full impact!
Heading towards a new summer season
But there is not only ski in promotion at the mountain lately, Mont SUTTON actively gearing up for the summer season! Mountain bike season passes are actually offered at 10% off until April 30, as are Enduro add-ons, allowing 2 or 4 daily lift rides.
With mountain biking and disc golf kicking off their seasons on Saturday May 17, the break will be short-lived before the mountain switches to summer mode. Once again this summer, enthusiasts will be able to enjoy more than 47 kilometers of cross-country, trail and enduro mountain bike trails, developed and maintained by Plein air Sutton / MTB. Several new features will be on the program.
Camping at the summit will start its season on Saturday, May 31, giving everyone a chance to reconnect with the region’s incredible panoramas. Reservations will open soon for the 21 campsites and 2 lean-tos which are always in great demand! The chairlift ride (and mtb lift ride), the giant zipline and the zipline coaster will be available to all from Saturday, June 21.
Details and events for the summer season will be announced shortly. In the meantime, it’s a good idea to subscribe our newsletter to not miss out on any upcoming developments at montsutton.com/subscribe.
