Mont SUTTON congratulates Jean Sicotte for 20 years of Blues outreach in Sutton
SUTTON November 15th, 2022 – Saturday November 12th was the final of the 20th edition of Sutton en Blues at Mont SUTTON. The 2022 edition, the 3rd one there, took place on Saturdays from October 22nd to November 12th at 8:30 p.m.
A kind-hearted man central to the success
The evening marking 20 years of Blues in the area also highlighted 20 years of dedication from Jean Sicotte, Productions Kazou owner, who initiated the series in 2002 at the Auberge des Appalaches, supported by Daniel Martin and Micheline Côté, holders at the time.
So it was needed to underline the tremendous job of M. Sicotte, a committed citizen and recognized figure in Sutton, for his role in the Blues outreach in the area.
This passionate music lover believed in the artists and dared to invite them here, with the ambitious project of creating an unmissable annual musical event where more than 150 guests would attend each night! Risky bet at first, it certainly is the high quality of Mr. Sicotte’s artistic direction that brought the event to this level of quality. If the series changed over the years, it’s touching to see the loyalty and the undeniable enthusiasm of the population about it.
Towards a 21st edition
The success of the series being no longer in doubt, a 21st edition was announced by Jean Sicotte last Saturday as he received a gift in recognition of his work and his contribution to his community. Let’s hope that this festive event will continue for many years to come.
Blues is over, now winter is coming at Mont SUTTON
The snowflakes are appearing and there is a smell of snow sports at the mountain. The preparation of the ground is going well and the season should start within four weeks. Until then, the store, the rental shop and the customer service remain open to answer the needs and questions of the customers!
