The Swiss National Day

Every summer, the Federation of Swiss Societies of Eastern Canada Inc. organizes an imposing celebration at Mont SUTTON! (At the Alt. 400m Chalet). This year, the 41th edition of the Swiss National Day will take place on Saturday, July 29. 


This special day is the perfect opportunity to find out more about this culture; the Swiss National Day celebration at Mont SUTTON is the most important one after the one taking place in Switzerland.


Various activities and shows are scheduled all day and will continue till late at night. Rain or shine, the day will be unforgettable for all the family. All are welcome!

Swiss National Day also celebrated in town of Sutton, starting on July 28 with verious activities.


Every year, during the weekend closest to August 1st, Swiss people, in their homeland, as well as abroad, celebrate their National Holiday with a great display of pride. The Eastern Townships shelter an important population of Swiss citizens who were attracted by the hilly landscapes, the rich agrarian lands and the quality of life they found in the region. They kept great pride for their culture and national traditions.
