Fall is just around the corner, the mountain is getting ready to burst into colour, and this year, it has a few surprises up its sleeve for the Fall festival<\/a>, which will take place every weekend from September 19 to October 18<\/strong>. From the new interactive trail and ziplining to mountain biking, disc golf, camping at the summit, trail running, live music and great causes, here\u2019s what\u2019s new at the Mont SUTTON Fall Festival\u2014and why it\u2019s worth the trip.<\/p>\n

1. Your bike gets a faster ride up the mountain<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Didn\u2019t make it to the mountain this summer? Now\u2019s the perfect time to check out everything that has changed on the mountain bike network: a new rock garden and jump on Attache ta tuque<\/em>, a complete redesign of Arbre en arbre<\/em>, and upgrades to several other trails, including Kouiki<\/em>, Jumpline<\/em>, the lower section of Tiguidou mon minou<\/em>, and more.<\/p>\n

And here\u2019s another exciting addition that will make everyone happy: new bike racks have been installed on the chairlifts<\/strong>, increasing the number of bikes that can be loaded at once. Installation is already underway and will continue over the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

2. The Adventure Path gets its first fall season<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Opened this summer, the Adventure Path<\/strong><\/a> trail is now ready for its first fall season\u2014and it\u2019s definitely one to discover, with its exclusive mountain views and unique interactive features.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a special way to experience it. For those who haven\u2019t visited in the summer, the chairlift takes you directly to the trailhead and can also be used to ride back down after your hike. Once you\u2019ve completed the trail, you can either hike back down via the ski trail or hop back on the chairlift in the opposite direction, with your feet dangling above the ground and the colourful mountain unfolding below you. It\u2019s definitely one to discover and rediscover as the fall colours change from week to week!<\/p>\n

3. An opening night you can wear with pride<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

The festival kicks off on the first Saturday with an innovative pairing: a DJ spinning the tunes and a professional screen printer creating custom prints on site. Bring your own T-shirt and leave with a festival-inspired souvenir, printed right before your eyes.<\/p>\n

On the music side, several up-and-coming artists will be taking their first steps onto the festival stage. The lineup also includes two artists known for their appearances on Star Acad\u00e9mie<\/em>: Marily Dorion<\/strong>, who is releasing a new single this fall, and \u00c9douard Lagac\u00e9<\/strong>. Every Sunday afternoon, artists from the Sutton Jazz Festival<\/strong> will also take the stage for live performances. And blues fans won\u2019t be left out: the Sutton en Blues Series<\/strong> <\/a>kicks off at the mountain on Saturday, October 17!<\/strong><\/p>\n

4. Getting ready for ski season starts now<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

New this year: a pre-season running clinic<\/strong><\/a> led by kinesiologist Pam\u00e9la Boucher, taking place on October 3 and 18<\/strong>. It\u2019s the perfect opportunity to get your body ready before those first winter runs. Trail runners also have their own appointments: the Trail Series<\/strong><\/a> makes a stop at Mont SUTTON for experienced runners, while the local trail running club offers an introductory session<\/a> for anyone looking to give trail running a try\u2014no pressure required.<\/p>\n

5. Wine, yoga\u2026 and a cause that matters<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Wine Route<\/strong><\/a> is back, offering the chance to discover new partner wineries. Yoga on the mountain<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0will also be offered every Saturday with Peak Experience, at an elevation of 680 metres, near the tree frog sculpture just above the top of Chairlift II. And the festival\u2019s final Saturday takes on a special meaning as the \u201cPink Attire\u201d yoga session<\/strong> will support a fundraising initiative for a breast cancer foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

6. A new hike to start things off on the right foot<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s favourites are all coming back: the conference and photography workshop with Bernard Brault<\/strong><\/a>, the kids\u2019 art tables with Lysanne Sabourin<\/strong><\/a>, guided hikes with the Sutton Natural Environment Park, and mountain sculpture tours led by our ambassador guides. And for those new to the outdoors, a brand-new Leave No Trace awareness hike<\/strong><\/a> will help you get started on the right foot and learn the basics of responsible outdoor recreation.<\/p>\n
