SUTTON, April 22, 2026<\/strong> \u2013 On the eve of its 10th season<\/strong>, the growing popularity of the Plein air Sutton \/ MTB<\/strong> mountain biking network at Mont SUTTON<\/strong> is no coincidence. Rising attendance, strong enthusiasm, and a multiplication of initiatives all reflect this momentum, driven by the sustained efforts of the non-profit organization (NPO), its trailbuilders, and its volunteers.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A growing recognition<\/h4>\n

Over the seasons, Plein air Sutton \/ MTB has developed a network that strikes a balance between trail diversity and a clearly defined level of challenge. Technical, committed lines, yet thoughtfully designed to remain accessible and progressive for riders of all skill levels.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This balance now helps position Sutton as a must-ride destination, both for seasoned riders and for those looking to discover the sport in a structured and stimulating environment.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Last season alone, the network saw several upgrades that undeniably enhanced the overall riding experience and generated a wealth of positive feedback from riders:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

– Redesign of the Sans Gluten<\/em> climb for a smoother, more gradual ascent, improving accessibility for beginners and ensuring an optimal experience.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

– A brand-new, ultra-flowy ending to French Kiss<\/em>, winding through a conifer and fern forest reminiscent of Western Canada.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

– Trail reroute improving Tiguidou mon minou<\/em> after the Pas l\u2019temps d\u2019niaiser<\/em> intersection.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

– Reworked transitions from Skimo<\/em> to Tiguidou mon Minou<\/em> and Tiguidou Right Through<\/em>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

– New section with jumps and berms, along with a redesigned ending for the Chasseur<\/em>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

– New Tucker Jumpline<\/em> option featuring impressive jumps and towering berms, connecting directly to Aweille en l\u2019air<\/em> from Tucker<\/em>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Above all, riders will be eager to discover this year the two major additions unveiled at the end of the 2025 season, which drew strong interest last fall. First, an intermediate-level learning trail<\/strong>: a downhill jumpline\/freestyle trail stretching 800m, serviced by a 400m climb. Designed to help riders safely practice and repeat various features, it supports skill progression in a controlled environment. It features seven table tops, one step up, two drops, and one step down. Secondly, an expert-level feature<\/strong> has been added at the base of the Tucker trail: a reimagined Tucker Sno-Cat module<\/strong>, rated double black. This striking installation includes an approach line,a step up with a pit, a 4.5m walkway, and a 2m drop. Visible from afar, it\u2019s sure to catch the eye and challenge even the most advanced riders.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Also contributing significantly to the network\u2019s growing reputation are the high-quality complementary services offered on the mountain: the Mountain Bike School<\/strong>, the Bike Repair Shop<\/strong>, and the MTB Rental Center<\/strong>. Passionate staff are on hand to guide visitors based on their needs and goals. Introductory programs<\/strong> including equipment rental are available to support new riders, while experienced visitors discovering Mont SUTTON for the first time can book guides<\/strong> in advance to make the most of their ride. Multi-week mountain bike camps<\/strong> are even offered to youth aged 8 to 16 in the spring and fall, allowing them to progress at their own pace and discover the sport with confidence.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In short, these sustained efforts are clearly paying off firmly establishing Plein air Sutton \/ MTB at Mont SUTTON as one of the season\u2019s must-visit destinations.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Must-Attend Events for Mountain Bike Enthusiasts<\/h4>\n

This growing recognition is now taking concrete form with the PMBIA training<\/strong> offering, allowing participants to earn a Level 1 mountain bike instructor certification, to be held from May 16 to 18 at Mont SUTTON, at the very start of the season. It is also reflected in the arrival of Into the Gnar<\/strong><\/em>, a major pan-Canadian event led by internationally renowned riders Yoann Barelli<\/strong> and Nate Spitz<\/strong>, which has chosen Sutton as the only stop in Quebec for its immersive three-day camp next July. A decision that speaks volumes about the quality and distinctive character of the local offering.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cWe are extremely proud to be hosting this event. The community-driven and authentic nature of our destination resonates strongly with the values of the Into The Gnar organization. It also demonstrates that we offer high-quality, world-class trails.<\/em>\u201d, says Pascal Vinh Nguyen, Executive Director of the non-profit organization.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Beyond these events, it is an entire community that brings the network to life and continues to shape its evolution, confirming that this recognition is both well deserved and firmly established. This community will come together as early as Saturday, May 9, for a Spring Clean Up Day<\/strong>, marking the official kickoff of the season<\/strong> the following week, on Saturday, May 16<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

That same community will also gather weekly starting June 30<\/strong> for the Tuesday Digs<\/strong>, lending a hand with trail maintenance in a friendly and festive atmosphere. No mountain biking experience is required to take part\u2014the vibe alone is enough to draw a crowd and guarantee lively evenings. This year, participants will even receive a free trail pass for the following day, extending the fun into Wednesday Rides<\/strong>\u2026 completed with a poutine special.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A great new addition this season for women riders: Thursday Girls\u2019 Rides<\/strong>, inviting participants to connect and enjoy the trails together in a supportive group setting.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It will also mark the third summer of MTB Fridays<\/strong>, with the chairlift extending its operating hours from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.<\/strong> and offering unlimited mtb lift rides at the chairlift for an unforgettable evening experience: the only event of its kind, starting in early July. Once again, these evenings will feature 75\u00a2 chicken wings and a live DJ to keep the energy high.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Further proof of the destination\u2019s momentum, Plein air Sutton \/ MTB will host the 4th edition of the Quebec Trailbuilders Conference<\/strong> this fall. Welcoming this large-scale event speaks clearly to the network\u2019s vitality, confirming both the quality of its development and the growing recognition it enjoys across the province.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Maximize Value with Season Passes<\/h4>\n

Mountain bike passes are currently available at 10% off during the presale, until April 30<\/strong>. To make the most of the many activities offered free or at a discount, the trail access pass, whether or not the Enduro option which includes 2 or 4 chairlift rides with a mtb per day is added, is without a doubt the best value. It pays for itself even faster when purchased during the presale, especially considering the season running from mid-May to November. As for the Enduro add-ons, only a handful of outings are needed to break even over the course of the season.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Also highly cost-effective for families, the family pass comes at a fixed rate and includes all family members: 2 adults and an unlimited number of children aged 6 to 17.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The pass also includes additional perks<\/strong> such as a free extra day ticket to invite a friend on the trails, $100 off the only Quebec stop of the Into The Gnar tour, 10% off regularly priced items at the Boutique Exp\u00e9rience SUTTON, and 10% off parts for a quick tune-up at the MTB Repair Shop.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Minimal Impact Expected for Mountain Bikers<\/h4>\n

Mont SUTTON and Plein air Sutton \/ MTB would also like to reassure riders that very minimal impact is expected on the mountain biking trails in relation to the ongoing work for the installation of the new quad chairlift ahead of the next winter season. Also, no construction work will take place on public holidays or weekends.<\/p>\n
