Below is an article from Espaces magazine, taken from Mr. Gagnon&#8217;s interview with FADOQ.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Nestled in the heart of the Eastern Townships, the <a href=\"https:\/\/montsutton.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mont Sutton<\/a> is renowned for its warm atmosphere, natural glades and enchanting scenery. But the Eastern Townships resort also hides another treasure: <strong>87-year-old Claude Gagnon<\/strong> embodies the timeless passion of downhill skiing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>An enthusiast since childhood, the octogenarian still skis every winter, but also teaches, and has done since 1969, when he became a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snowpro.com\/en\/home-en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A dedicated instructor, he continues to teach with enthusiasm, sharing his love of skiing with skiers of all ages.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As he explains on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fadoq.ca\/reseau\/actualites\/nouvelle\/moniteur-ski-claude-gagnon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FADOQ website<\/a> (the Quebec network representing people aged 50 and over): \u201c<em>It keeps me young and keeps me moving, because young people move a lot!\u201d <\/em>For Claude Gagnon, skiing is much more than just a leisure activity; it&#8217;s a source of vitality and well-being, helping him to avoid illness: \u201c<em>If you sit for too long, you end up with sore legs.To avoid that, you have to move around. I recently caught a cold, but I hadn&#8217;t had one for six years.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He also shares his little secret for staying healthy: diet! \u201c<em>I eat little meat, almost no dessert and no sugar.
