SUTTON, December 31 2024 <\/strong>\u2013 With the first snowflakes falling on the mountain’s summit last night, Mont SUTTON is most excited about the prospect of this first snow storm of 2025, which comes at just the right time. It’s sure to be a perfect start to the new year, skiing on snow-covered slopes!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

DAYS OF POWDER ON THE HORIZON<\/h4>\n

At the time of writing, Snow Forecast<\/a> is predicting no less than 44 cm of snow at the base and close to 50 cm at the summit, to be received between now and Sunday, January 5!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With the return of colder weather, snowmaking should resume by Thursday, with Mont SUTTON’s field crews ready to get back to work, equipment in place and ready to make fire, or rather snow! Over the next few days, the ski area promises to become more and more interesting, and everyone will want to be there to take advantage of what are sure to be exceptional conditions!<\/p>\n

Powder days are on the horizon to start the New Year on snow-covered slopes! It’s a good idea to keep a close eye on the conditions page<\/a> on the Mont SUTTON website in the morning, or subscribe to the newsletter<\/a> for details of open trails and chairlifts.<\/p>\n

AFTER CHRISTMAS GIFTS?<\/h4>\n

If the forecasted snow alone is the best \u201cpost-Christmas\u201d gift, it’s time to spoil ourselves and end the vacation season in the best possible way, on the slopes!<\/p>\n

In addition to Live Music Fridays<\/a> and DJ Saturdays<\/a> at the apr\u00e8s-ski Bar Le Tucker, this Thursday, January 2 promises to be a fun-filled day at the mountain: plenty of snow, Open Mic Thursdays<\/a>, chicken wings for 70\u00a2<\/a>, a free HEAD ski demo<\/a> and the Sutton En C\u0153ur Wheel of Fortune<\/a> to win prizes and learn more about the En C\u0153ur Foundation and the third edition of the Sutton En C\u0153ur event<\/a> coming up in February!<\/p>\n

But to get the year off to a good start, everyone will want to be at the traditional New Year’s Day Cocktail<\/a>, at the ringing noon hour, on the new bar-terrace of Bar Le Tucker (whose inauguration is still to come), this Wednesday, January 1, to taste the ready-to-drink Chic-Choc rum. It’s a moment to look forward to, under a snowy sky that heralds a new year on the slopes!<\/p>\n
