Based on the 4 fundamental values of Responsible Tourism, Mont SUTTON offers and encourages a range of low-carbon, local, slow and eco propositions!<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n It’s in this spirit of civic engagement that the classic Fall Festival will be presented, starting this Saturday, September 14, for 5 consecutive weekends, bringing the end of the summer season to Thanksgiving, on Monday, October 14.<\/p>\n Having just completed the \u00c9coleader <\/em>program from the Association des stations de ski du Qu\u00e9bec (ASSQ), Mont SUTTON is more committed than ever to sustainable development. We’re also proud of our ski Association, which has been awarded Ecoresponsible, Level 2 Performance certification by Ecocert Canada, in order to accompany and support ski hills structuring concrete actions, and being an important partner in this desire for continuous improvement. Starting this autumn, we’ll be able to see a number of concrete actions.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n To encourage low-carbon consumption and limit climate impact, Mont SUTTON is welcoming 4 new Porsche universal charging stations, bringing the total number of available stations to 10, located in the parking lot P2B. To encourage the use of electric vehicles, Mont SUTTON offers free charging stations<\/a>. Charging your car at the mountain is 100% free! You can quickly identify them on the\u00a0parkings<\/a> map.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At the entrance to this same parking lot, just to your left, you can now count on a grey water bike wash station, a first in Quebec! A bike wash preserves the efficiency of your mountain bike and avoids dirtying the environment. We’re even happier to do it responsibly and fairly, thanks to a station powered by the mountain’s rainwater and runoff and built with the arch of the old n\u00b04 ski lift, which has been reworked for this new use. Bonus: also featuring Mint’n Dry soap, a 100% dye-free, biodegradable soap made in Quebec with bio-sourced ingredients.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Another new feature just in time for the Festival, created by the non-profit organization that manages the Plein air Sutton \/ mtb<\/a> mountain bike trails network: the updated Zen<\/em>, a trail reinvented to cater an even wider clientele, with curves that are easier to take and a design that transforms it into a bike suspension adjustment track.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n To guarantee maximum fun for the little ones, the mini obstacle courses at the base and top of Chairlift II have been redesigned. Have fun guessing which materials reused from the mountain make up the modules created by the local artist-entrepreneur at the center of this circular-economy project!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Another eco-responsible way to enjoy the mountain is to get to Mont SUTTON using transportation that limits your carbon footprint! Think to use our Classified Ads<\/a> page to share a ride, or try out the Transportation on Demand<\/a> (TOD) service. You can take TOD directly to the mountain from Terminus Autoparc 74 (Bromont). To book your trip, go directly to the service platform here<\/a>.<\/p>\n With the Fall Festival attracting thousands of people every year for the scenic beauty of the mountain, it’s the perfect platform to invite our visitors to consume locally, diversified and consciously.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Culturally and artistically speaking, there are many artists and craftspeople to discover in the region. To encourage the diversification of arts, Musical Saturdays<\/a> and Jazz Sundays<\/a> are featuring 100% local artists. L\u2019\u00c9cole d\u2019art de Sutton<\/a> will also be giving an overview of its services, with photo workshops for all as part of the event. Also from the area, Brins d\u2019Nature<\/a> will be on hand to offer a basket-weaving activity, and \u00c9coanima will be proposing a stroll and a tale to the Marmite aux sorci\u00e8res<\/em>, followed by a craft workshop for the little ones. Not forgetting the return of guided hikes to discover the sculptures at the mountain<\/a>,\u00a0works by bromisquoi artists commissioned by the organization Les Arts \u00e0 la montagne<\/a>, allowing everyone to discover a veritable open-air museum during their visit! A wonderful nod to the rich diversity of the region’s community.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Health and well-being are very present and are important aspects in the community. Everyone deserves a moment of relaxation and comfort. What’s more, these types of local businesses deserve a detour and recognition, being vital to regional development. We invite festival-goers to discover Espace Liance<\/a>, by trying the yoga hike and Officinalis<\/a>, for a herbology workshop on certain days. A brief overview of services and products that will do your soul good. To be enjoyed without moderation!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sutton and the surrounding area are also an inexhaustible source of agri-food producers to encourage, vineyards to discover to appreciate the quality of our winemaking, and various high-quality restaurants and merchants to visit. For example, some wineries from Brome-Missisquoi’s Wine Route<\/a> will be there to make you taste the fruit of their labor. To fill your belly, Cube-ik outdoor restaurant<\/a> at the foot of the slopes, whose original menu comes from several local sources, will be open every weekend. And that said, Christian Beaulieu, who is also one of Sutton’s restaurateurs, co-owner of the Tartinizza<\/a>, will close the Festival in music on Monday, October 14.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n During your stay with us, you can consider the camping at the summit<\/a> & the RV overnight stay<\/a>, but also have a look at the surrounding lodgings<\/a>.
