They make sure that signage and ski conditions are safe. Each patroller has official training from the Institut national de secourisme du Qu\u00e9bec. They are prepared for any situation, from answering a question about safety to providing first aid after a major incident. They are there for you!<br \/>\nPreventionnists, who apply the Mountain Code of Conduct, work in collaboration with the ski patrol. Their responsibility is to prevent incidents and give a hand to the ski patrol if needed. Whether it is for simple security advice or any type of question, preventionists will gladly help you!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Mountain Code of Conduct &#8211; Your responsibility<\/h4>\n<p>For your safety and that of others, please read the Mountain Code of Conduct. Make sure you know the right practices to apply at any ski resort in Quebec. All season passes and tickets issued are subject to compliance with the code of conduct and may be revoked without refund upon request by the resort and a fine could be issued.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Mountain Code of Conduct<\/h4>\n<p>Code adopted under the Act respecting safety in sports.<br \/>\nThis Code applies to every person engaging in snow sports.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remain in control of your speed and direction. Make sure you can stop and avoid any person or obstacle.<\/li>\n<li>Yield the right of way to people downhill and choose a course that ensures their safety.<\/li>\n<li>Stop on a trail only if you are visible from above and not obstructing the trail.<\/li>\n<li>Yield the right of way to people uphill when entering a trail as well as at intersections.<\/li>\n<li>If you are involved in or witness an accident, remain on the scene and identify yourself to a first-aider<\/li>\n<li>At all times, use and wear a device to prevent runaway equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Stay off lifts and trails if your ability is impaired by alcohol or drugs.<\/li>\n<li>Obey all signs and warnings, never venture between the trails, onto closed trails or off the trail zone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/montsutton.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Code_de_conduite_en_montagne.pdf\">Click here to see a picture version of the code of conduct<\/a> that is more fun to share with kids!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>AUTHORIZED SPORTS ON THE MOUNTAIN<\/h4>\n<p>Alpine ski, snowboard, telemark and snowscoot are permitted on the entire skiable terrain. Some other types of equipment are only allowed in specific areas of the mountain, while others are prohibited. Of course, ski patrollers considered the trail safe. Save the woods.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Make the most of this unique concept of glade skiing by respecting the signage on the mountain and contributing to preserve every trail and junction as they were initially designed with respect for nature and the delights of skiing in mind. Not respecting the signage could cause tree diseases, harm the undergrowth, cause erosion and severe winds on trail and put both you and our patrollers\u2014who are there to help you\u2014at risk. In short, please stay on the trails! Please also note that all season passes and tickets are subject to compliance with the code of conduct and may be revoked without refund at the resort\u2019s discretion, and a fine may be issued. For example, teach them to look both ways before engaging on a trail, as we do before crossing the street!<\/p>\n<p>Stay aware to recognize when your children are tired or cold.<\/p>\n<p>With you children, establish a short procedure in case they go\u00a0on another trail and lose sight of you.
