{"id":79607,"date":"2026-05-12T15:19:31","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T19:19:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/montsutton.com\/?post_type=activite&#038;p=79607"},"modified":"2026-05-12T16:11:40","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T20:11:40","slug":"call-for-proposals-for-the-creation-of-a-temporary-artwork","status":"publish","type":"activite","link":"https:\/\/montsutton.com\/en\/activity\/call-for-proposals-for-the-creation-of-a-temporary-artwork\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Proposals; Creation of a Temporary Artwork"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Mont SUTTON &amp; DesPr\u00e9s are joining forces to further develop the project of the <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 16px;\" href=\"https:\/\/montsutton.com\/en\/the-mountain\/sculptures-at-the-mountain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sculptures on the mountain (Les Arts \u00e0 la montagne)<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A first Call for Proposals is therefore being launched for the creation of a temporary \u2014 or \u201cephemeral\u201d\u2014 artwork to be installed along the edges of the mountain\u2019s trails and paths.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fl-module fl-module-rich-text fl-rich-text fl-node-9l07td5f4i8z\" data-node=\"9l07td5f4i8z\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This artwork, which will be installed along the trails of Mont SUTTON starting in late August 2026, is intended to interact with the mountain landscape and is designed to remain in place for approximately one year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Professional artists and artist collectives from the Estrie region are invited to submit proposals that engage with the local landscape, materials, and the experience of hiking and skiing at the mountain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>The Call for Proposals will remain open until Monday, June 1<\/strong><\/span><em>.<\/em> All the <strong>details &amp; terms<\/strong> are online on DesPr\u00e9s website <a href=\"https:\/\/espacedespres.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Appel-de-projets-2026-Mont-Sutton-DesPres-vr.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>here (french only)<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To submit their applications, artists must complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/espacedespres.ca\/artistes\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>form on our partner\u2019s website<\/strong><\/a> <strong>(french only)<\/strong> by the specified deadline.
