{"id":38279,"date":"2024-04-01T11:00:04","date_gmt":"2024-04-01T15:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/montsutton.com\/?post_type=activite&#038;p=38279"},"modified":"2026-03-30T19:43:04","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T23:43:04","slug":"the-ms-mountain-bike-challenge","status":"publish","type":"activite","link":"https:\/\/montsutton.com\/en\/activity\/the-ms-mountain-bike-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"MS MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Under the theme <em><strong>Surpass yourself and transform lives!<\/strong><\/em> the MS Mountain Bike Challenge is changing its name for its 6th edition to MS MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE in order to rally more outdoor enthusiasts to the cause!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT IS THE MS MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s an invitation to surpass yourself, to indulge your passion for mountain biking and to ride all day surrounded by other enthusiasts like yourself, but it&#8217;s also a way to do good by participating in a fundraiser to support people with multiple sclerosis. This friendly sporting challenge is open to riders of all levels. Even if the MS Mountain Challenge is mostly focused on the pleasure of riding on the Mont SUTTON \/ Plein air Sutton MTB network trails, the level of difficulty is satisfying for everyone, even for mountain bike fanatics. Whether you are an amateur or a competitor, there is a place for you! And if you want to be recognized among all the participants, we strongly encourage you to dress up! <strong>Come with your mountain biking friends to have a maximum fun and celebrate the 6th anniversary of the MS Mountain challenge on Saturday, August 29 at Mont SUTTON!<\/strong> After the event, you are all invited to join the outdoor party! During this event, a silent auction and a bike wash will be available to all in order to raise funds for the<strong> Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada &#8211; Quebec Division<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>REGISTER<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Form a team of two or more riders OR go solo<\/li>\n<li>Challenge yourself to collect the maximum amount of donations*<\/li>\n<li>Choose to ride 10, 20 or 30 km on Mont SUTTON, on the trails specially marked for the event<\/li>\n<li>Or chose the hiking activity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*To start, each participant must raise at least $300. To help you, you will have a personal fundraising page that you can customize.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>GOAL OF THE EVENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We want to bring together 150 participants and <strong>raise $110,000<\/strong> to support multiple sclerosis research projects and programs and services that enable people with MS to improve their quality of life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>HERE IS WHAT TO EXPECT FOR THIS 6th EDITION:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Revised distances of 10, 20 and 30 km <\/strong>for ALL levels of <em>rider<\/em>, from beginner to expert!<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>hiking<\/strong> activity, accessible to all, for <em>riders<\/em>&#8216; family and friends, but also for the whole MS community.<\/li>\n<li>An <strong>after-party <\/strong>from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. featuring <em>live bands<\/em>, food, beer and door prizes.<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>Vanlife \/ RV component <\/strong>where you can stay on site during the <em>weekend<\/em> and enjoy the activities offered by Mont Sutton.<\/li>\n<li>And much more to be revealed soon! Stay tuned!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>NEW since 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Teams &#8211; participants or corporate &#8211; can be formed to take up the challenge: 5 people minimum, on foot or by bike, depending on individual preferences<\/li>\n<li>For teams of 5 or more: only $200 fundraising required per person!<\/li>\n<li>Registration fee of $30 per hiker \/ $60 per cyclist<\/li>\n<li>New hiking route to the mountain&#8217;s finest viewpoints<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Last year, the event allowed to raise $155 000 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada &#8211; Quebec Division.
