UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS!
Once again, many of you have shared your Mont SUTTON experience with truly spectacular photos! Our jury had to make tough choices in selecting the winning pictures we used to develop two new promotional images for the 2009-2010 season.
The healthy values and vibrant joy that these photos portray against an extraordinary winter backdrop have inspired this year’s visual themes: family fun and the importance of taking the time to laugh and spend time with friends.
Here is the creative process we used in developing our posters from the following photos:
Illustration: Family fun 1st prize: Nathalie Boulet
This image was selected because of the way it represents one of core values, engaging in winter sports as a family. Seeing dad atop the ski hill with his children, and the little girl clowning around with skis on his feet, illustrates the vital joy that a family can feel while playing in the great outdoors ! The spectacular view in the background lets us show people that SUTTON has a complete range of incomparable slopes, tailored for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.

A sunny day, a welcoming terrasse and happy snow sports lovers… These are the key elements in our second choice. While it’s true that Mont SUTTON offers a wide variety of exceptional slopes and glades, people also like to take the time to hang around with their friends in a comfortable chalet or sundeck, chatting about their day while enjoying the stunning panorama.
Some may notice that the angle and perspective have been altered, but remember that these images served to inspire our artist: they are not meant to be faithful reproductions. By adding a glade to the background and changing the viewpoint somewhat, we can showcase all of SUTTON’s features and pique the interest of new skiers and snowboarders seeking a change of scenery… like nowhere else!

Not only did the winners have the privilege of seeing different elements of their photos used in Mont SUTTON’s promotional material, but they each received an Olympus Stylus 8MP 850SW digital camera. Thanks to its insulated casing and special “snow function”, this camera is the perfect tool for outstanding outdoor winter photography!
Everyone at Mont SUTTON is thrilled at seeing how its skiers / photographers have managed to depict the sheer beauty, pleasure and magic that prevail at our resort. This advertising and promotional campaign would never have been the same without the many entries submitted in our My inspiring moments photo contest.
Thank you all for helping us make this such a success and keep enjoying these moments of outdoor fun and happiness. But most of all, great skiing!
